[01 November 2009] Indigo named 7th Fastest Growing Companies in Wales

Leading washroom services provider Indigo Washroom Solutions has been ranked one of the top 10 fastest growing companies in after securing a position in the 2009 Wales Fast Growth 50 index (FG50).

Since launching in 2006, the company, which has its HQ in Bridgend, south , has grown consistently and was ranked number seven in the listing after a growth of 288% between 2006 and 2008.

This admirable growth has been due to a strong focus on growing the washroom side of the business across the UK, as well as diversifying into the recycling and disposal of non hazardous waste through sister company indigo Environmental.

Jonathan Bennett, CEO of Indigo Washroom Solutions said: “To be named in such a prestigious list is a fantastic achievement for Indigo as we are very proud of our Welsh roots.

“The growth that we have achieved during the past three years is a huge achievement and a testament to our team of hardworking and loyal staff who have made this progress both possible and enjoyable.

[25 August 2009] Indigo short listed for prestigious awards

Indigo have today been confirmed as one of 50 fastest growing companies in Wales. Battling out with other companies short listed within the business to business services sub sector Indigo is currently growing at a rate in excess of 100% per annum.

The 11th Anniversary Awards Gala Dinner will take place on Friday, October 30th 2009 at the Holland House Hotel in Cardiff . 

Commenting on the success, Group CEO Jonathan Bennett said “ I am very fortunate to have very loyal and hardworking colleagues that make such growth possible and enjoyable. The team strive on a challenge and the past 12 months has seen the group double revenues through organic growth and acquisition. We have no plans to stop yet with additional projects in the wings”. 

 

 

[01 August 2009] Indigo to clean up Cardiff's new shopping centre

 Indigo Environmental are celebrating after winning a contract worth £1 million to collect all of St David’s 2 Shopping Centre’s waste.

Indigo has secured the three year contract for the new shopping complex opening in Cardiff this autumn, after a competitive tender against several national waste management companies.

Representing the largest contract the environmental division has secured since it came into the Indigo fold at the end of 2008, the contract will see Indigo collect both general waste and recyclable waste from the centre’s 160 shops and restaurants.

Commenting on the contract award, Sales Director Terry Osmond said: “Indigo were awarded the tender for the next three years after the company impressed with its ability to provide a high end customer service, the company prides itself on its excellent reputation within the Welsh business community and we look forward to working with St David’s 2 over the coming months as the shopping centre opens.

Since acquiring the environmental and waste management division in November 2008, Indigo Environmental has doubled its customer base and expanded its geographical service area throughout South Wales .

[25 June 2009] Group CEO to sting at Charity Rugby Match

A Welsh businessman is training for the toughest challenge of his life as he prepares to become a Wasps rugby player next month. 

Jonathan Bennett, 37,  Group CEO of Indigo  will play in the London-based team’s legends side when they face Guernsey Select XV on 12th September in a bid to raise money for charity.

Starting alongside the likes of Lawrence Dallaglio and Serge Betsen, Bennett will participate in the charity match being held in Guernsey after bidding for the opportunity at the Wasps end of season dinner earlier this year.

Hoping to raise in excess of £10,000 for his chosen charity, George Thomas Hospice, Cardiff ’s major provider of specialist palliative care to those suffering from cancer and other life threatening illnesses, Bennett is getting training tips from none other than Welsh rugby star Neil Jenkins.

On the challenge ahead Bennett said: “I bid for the chance to play with the Wasps as I felt that not only would it be a good incentive to lose weight and get fit but I could also raise money for a worthwhile cause. Since learning that I would be playing alongside rugby greats such as Dallaglio, I have been training vigorously at my local gym and on a strict healthy eating regime, so far I have lost over 2 stone and will be keeping up the hard work until the big day.

Since the acquisition of its environmental services division in November 2009, Indigo has doubled revenues within 6 months to £1.8m.

The significant growth has been achieved by listening to our customers and providing them with a simple, cost effective waste management service. Indigo empties over 5000 wheelie bins per week utilizing its modern fleet of refuse vehicles across South Wales .

Commenting on the growth, Sales Director Terry Osmond said “What recession!, Indigo has proved that by listening to your customers we can buck the recession and significantly increase our business on a daily basis. Our success is based around people; all customers are dealt with by our dedicated friendly customer services team based in Bridgend, by building up a rapport with the customer we can ensure they get the service they want, when they want it”.

[01 April 2009] Indigo Washroom Solution confirm sponsorship of Tom Haines racing

Indigo Washroom Solutions have today confirmed sponsorship of Tom Haines, a professional racing driver competing in Formula Palmer Audi Series. At the young age of 21 Tom has already made a huge mark in the single seater racing world with his blistering pace. Tom competes in his 360 bhp race car at key race circuits through out the UK and Europe. Commenting on the sponsorship deal, Indigo’s CEO said” This is an opportunity for a Welsh based company to back a young Welsh driver. Having witnessed Tom’s drive, enthusiasm and blistering pace I had no hesitation in becoming a main sponsor of Tom Haines Racing. [21 November 2008] New Faces @ Indigo

Indigo are pleased to announce the appointment of 2 board directors to its environmental division. Nigel Coombs and Terry Osmond will take up day to day responsibility of the companies environmental and waste management division. With over 50 years experience in this sector, Indigo are in good hand for a rapid expansion of its services.

[21 November 2008] What a load of rubbish......

Indigo Group CEO Jonathan Bennett today confirmed the acquisition of South Wales based JVS's environmental and waste management division. Operating throughout South Wales servicing commercial and trade waste customers, JVS services over 2000 customer sites per month.

Commenting on the acquisition, Bennett said "This acquisition has been borne purely from customer demand. Our customers have been requesting a simple, cost effective service - the JVS acquisition will provide a steady platform to allow the company to grow their presence in this sector throughout South Wales . Our plans are to rapidly expand the waste management and environmental services to our clients, initially in the  South Wales area".  

[01 November 2008] Indigo appoint Sales Director

Indigo are pleased to welcome Carol Apps to the board of directors. After 8 years of sterling service to the company, it was unanimously decide to provide the recognition much overdue to Carol.  Apps takes full responsibility for the companies washroom sales which has seen an increase in sales over projected target during the last 12months.

Group CEO, Jonathan Bennett said “It was long overdue! Carol has worked tirelessly to establish a presence for the company over the last 2 years and this is due recognition for that effort”

 

 

[20 October 2008] Indigo to the rescue...

Indigo have today been asked by bankers Investec plc to take over the servicing requirements for the customer base under contract with Hygienic Hand Dryers Ltd which today went into receivership.

 

Indigo will be contacting all Hygienic Hand Dryer’s customers over the next few days to ascertain specific customer requirement.
